Mid week wonder

Sorry for not posting many blogs recently,  I have been hounded with so much work within the last month due to Christmas around the corner,  so I apologise and will be posting a lot more after Christmas season.

Anyway,  It's Mid week wonder. 3 beauty facts coming up;

1. When getting out the bath or shower if you pat your skin dry it will keep the moisture in and keeping it much more hydrated and healthier.

2. Scalp massages for 2 minutes a day is really good for your hair, it increased blood flow and circulates. Making the hair healthier over time.

3. If your like me I tend to fill my hair with products for keeping it healthy textured and styled,  but this leaves a lot of products in your hair the normal shampoo can't remove,  so once a week use clarifying shampoo to make sure it's gone.

Thank you for reading my blog :)

Mid week wonder

Hello, it's the time of week to do 3 beauty facts:

1. Grips go what you would say upside down,  the bumpy side shouldn't be seen as there is more of a grip so it doesn't fall out.

2. Drink something cold in the morning it helps boost your metabolism

3. fresh orange juice; I always new it as having a small glass a day apparently not. Have a glass once a week it's better for your health.

Thank you for reading this post.

Mid week wonder

This mid week wonder is going to be all about hair, I normally try and do different things relating to beauty but I like these tips:

1. Hair grip/ bobby pin are always falling out my hair as it is quite soft and doesn't have much friction to it, best way to solve it is place your grips on a paper towel and coat the grips in dry shampoo or hairspray or both and this will make them sticky making them stay in place much longer.

2. I saw this in Google image's when I was looking at hairstyles,  instead of doing the typical to grips crossed over to pull back hair why don't you use them as hair pieces?

3. And the last one is; there are loads of different types of brushes but I always seem to get stuck on two types of brushes,  the rounded one and a straight thin brush. Here are some others according to you hair needs.

Thanks for reading my mid week wonder post, hope this helped.  Comment what tip you like the most.

Mid week wonder

1. When you put in a hair mask in make sure you rinse with cold water to close the hair cuticles.

2. Once you have a shower it is the best time to moisturise,  this is because your skin has been de-oiled and will absorb the cream better.

3. With blushes use powders after the base with your makeup, but if you are using cream make sure this is the first thing that touches your skin, if you want a healthy makeup look.

Eyelashes and eyebrows monthly routine

Hello everyone,

I thought I'll talk about eyelash and brow dye, I must do this about once a month and honestly I wouldn't turn back. And I like the idea of "semi permanent".
I have black dye for my eyelashes so I don't look to dead if I have a no makeup day asI have blonde eyelashes. Also I found out after getting it done that mascara holds a lot better when I apply it.

With my brows once again there not visible as there blonde, so I bought a pack of brown dye to do myself because if I get them done in a salon there most likely going to be too dark and not fit with my natural hair colour. I would recommend this to everyone to either be able to see them or even out the eyebrow shade.

I would suggest getting this done or if you do it yourself like me, watch this clip: link

Mid week wonder

Yes it is half way through the week when I share 3 beauty facts with you.

1.
Hair!
It's so important that you keep your hair healthy as possible and to reduce spit ends as much as possible.  So I was going through a few blogs recently and they tell you to add perfume to your hair to make it smell nice. Don't!  It will harm your hair as it is made from chemicals,  if you want sweet smelling hair I suggest buying shampoo such as bed head as it had a nice scent.

2. Nails
it's such a pain waiting for your nails to dry but most the time it smears, so I trick to dry them is to put them in a bowl of cold water and wait 3 minutes and time you take them out they're dry.

3. Concealers
so many people ask the question,  why is there: yellow, orange,  blue, green  and pink concealers?
Each have a purpose.
Yellow is for blue bags under your eyes.
orange or peach is to neutralise your skin
blue is to reduce pink areas
green is for redness
and purple is for yellow bruising on the skin
Not everyone uses all the colours it depends on your skin type.

Mid week wonder

More is less

A lot of people use more shampoo product for it to have more foam, however less is more, for the people who use more then a quarter of your palm is too much. this then reacts differently and does the opposite jobs and doesn't clean your hair properly. This is why you should use as little of the main washing product as possible to keep your hair cleaner for longer, it also has a deeper wash.

Lashes.
Fed up with spending time doing your eye shadow then it gets ruined from your mascara going everywhere. use a piece of paper behind the eyelashes then stroke the mascara brush, it will go through the lashes then onto the paper, however it should look effortless

Nails
If you want the salon looking nails but don't have the equipment to do the shapes or drawings, use a cocktail stick, do this by:
Dipping in the nail varnish colour
create the shape, (small lines)
cover with topcoat

Make it yourself

Prefer homemade products?

How to make drug store bought beauty products.

From exfoliators to hair masks.
  1. Starting from the hair mask, this is to help repair broken or damaged hair if conditioner wont help it.... I would use this as a last resort before cutting it.  Cover your hair in 1/4 of oil, hunny or eggs then leave in for 30-60 minutes place a shower cap over your hair or Clingfilm to keep moisture in and stop your hair touching other objects. To take it out rinse your hair out with shampoo then conditioner, this should help to make it feel softer and healthier.
  2.   Exfoliator. ran out at home? or like having handmade products- like products from 'Lush', Use 2  table spoons of sugar and then same with the amount of lemon then mix together then you can use. I haven't yet done this as I still have my 'soap and glory' exfoliator.
  3. Your favourite  mascara gone clumpy? Get a mug and place hot water 3/4 of the way, preferably kettle water and then place (sealed) mascara into the mug for about 15 minutes it should turn out how you first bought it.

Hair products

I have a few of hair products that you might want to use or know about.

The first one i have is Andrew Burton shampoo and conditioner, I love these together they really help my hair to stay clean for longer also has a bounce. Would recommend this products.
The next product is Hair serum, I do believe it does work in trying to prevent split ends.
'I love volume' by again Andrew Burton i love this brand as all the products work best! Such as the volume product it made my hair bigger and thicker which made a lot of people notice.
I don't advise buying salt spray as it damages your hair and doesn't make much of a difference in the longer run... everyone was putting good reviews but unless you put shed loads of product its unlikely to work in putting 'beach wave'.

You always need to get a hair mask (Conditioner) and leave it in for about an hour once a month, as it really does make a differences to your hair!  Mainly makes it feel smooth and freshly cut- This product is from James brown collection and is called 'intensive moisture mask'.
The rest of these products i wear but not as much as the ones i wrote individually about.
The 'Timote' shampoo and conditioner is for "Greasy hair" it doesn't work at all, if my hair goes greasy quickly it made it worse by not preventing it and just not doing anything for me so i use a coconut shampoo if i need to.

I haven't used the other Andrew Burton products as i have not gone anyway to feel the need to use them.

Hairstyles

My Basic hairstyles

How i wear my hair on a weekly bases.

Its normally relatively simple: Fishtails, hair down, half up, in a bun and pony tails is what i usually wear unless im going to an event or a wedding i would curl my hair  or have it in a twisted low bun, then i tend to add accessories to make it look more pretty when looking at it from the back and sides. Messy buns work best with my hair type! as i don't think i have the right face shape for pulled back my hair (unless in a ponytail)

Been growing my hair for the last 2 years and prefer not to go to the hairdressers as they cut a lot of in the length, so i choose for a family member to trim the ends and have a proper hair cut once a year.
Because i have a full fringe, need to get it cut every two weeks  otherwise its over my eyes.
How i deal with my fringe: i wash my fringe daily in the morning then curl it under to make an illusion to be thicker.

Thank you for reading 'My hairstyles' hopefully gives you inspiration on how to wear it.

Ootd August

 Favorite outfits for summer *August*

August has a mixture of temperature especially in Britain, so far i have been wearing trousers or maxi skirts with strap top.

tops:
it is essential to have a variety of different colour strap top during the summer as it gets too hot to what to wear fully coverage clothing. other styles i like is baggy tops as when then temperature get humid, you don't want to be in tight clothes as it could leave you feeling irritated

Bottoms: for my  jeans and shorts i still love the high wasted look as i find they are more comfortable and they also look like you planned what you wore that day such as if you put a crop top with high wasted shorts its good for the heat and it looks like you have spent time matching top with bottoms.

Hairstyle
keeping it plain and simple by pinning the sides up to have your hair out your face. mainly to avoid odd sun tan lines from your fringe.
The other style that i wore mostly is a night knot on top of your head and it is easy to do and looks nice, i also find it doesn't leave kinks  in you hair when you take it down.
French plaits: Two french plaits either sides is the best style of the season because its neat, tidy and well structured i also found it didn't fall out over two days.
